As for me I m the only child of my family, I work as a Nurse at a HOSPITAL here in Cape Town, South Africa. I work in the ICU (INTENSIVE CARE UNIT) I m 50 years of age, I have been divorced living on my own and I ve done so for a couple of years now, 2008 to be precise and I have a 24 year old daughter (Ariella) She recently moved to Johannesburg to start a new Job with a clothing line as a Sales Rep.
I was in a very terrible and abusive marriage, I was forced at a tender age by my late father, who used to work in the Diamond Mines in (ANGOLA,ZIMBABWE LESOTHO) to marry the son of his very close and trusted business associate,due to my naivety, I blindly fell for it and it became really hard for me, all the time it was a lie and my life was almost ruined, I was really hurt and burnt, It was really traumatic and I had to file for a divorce upon my fathers death when I could not bear the pains and scars anymore. They say what does not kill you makes you definitely stronger, So I would say my failed and traumatic marriage was a big lesson and I am still on the rebound and very careful to open up my heart to love any man, But I do hope I am guided right by my heart and not my head this time. I had to take a huge loan to personally take care of my daughter through her studies and I was so glad I did that even though I am still paying the loan till now, But I can boldly say it was worth it as my daughter is forever and eternally grateful to me for all I did for her, She s my world my first love and best friend.
